On September 28th several Winnipeg food trucks popped up outside Siloam Mission during the lunch hour to serve free food to the shelter patrons, staff, and volunteers. Nine food trucks served hundreds of hungry patrons from Siloam Mission and Madison Supportive Housing.

The food trucks in attendance included The Red EmberTokyo RabbitFired UpLittle Bones Wings, and Vilai’s Spice Box. Instead of the traditional sandwiches and soup options patrons are used to they enjoyed chicken wings, wood fired pizza, sausages, dessert crepes, and more. This event allowed for the food trucks to give back the best way they know how, by serving up their delectable street food curbside.
